Three highly prospective projects in the renowned Athabasca Basin, strategically located in proximity to recent high-grade, shallow uranium discoveries.
Basin Energy projects in relation to Athabasca Basin uranium deposits.
Geikie
Drilling identified anomalous uranium within a structured alteration system comparable to multiple world-class, basement-hosted uranium deposits of the Athabasca Basin.
TENURE
- Option agreement in place with CanAlaska for Basin to earn up to 80% (currently 60%).
- 339 km2 landholding 7 km from the present-day edge of the Athabasca Basin.
- Adjacent tenure to Atha Energy’s GMZ discovery (TSXV-SASK), and Baselode Energy’s ACKIO discovery (TSXV-FIND).
Basin Energy’s Geikie project location adjacent to recent basement style discoveries.
Basin Energy’s recent drilling showing similarities to major basement hosted uranium deposits.
MAIN FEATURES
- Drilling by Basin identified:
- Uranium anomalism intersected demonstrating a uranium fertile system
- Highest grade was 0.27% U3O8 over
0.5 m at Aero Lake. - 263 ppm over 9 m at Preston Creek
- Pathfinder elements for uranium mineralisation, specifically lead isotope anomalies, were observed in multiple drill holes.
- Scale of structures and associated alteration hit:
- Large-scale complex fault systems.
- Extensive alteration present to demonstrate that fluid has been active, with strong analogies to major basement hosted Athabasca uranium deposits.
- Drill-target rich – further drilling required.
Marshall and North Millennium
Ground electromagnetics has identified a classic unconformity uranium target within the heartland of the major Athabasca deposits
TENURE
- Marshall project is 100% Basin owned, with an operator agreement in place with CanAlaska uranium. 112 km2 land holding .
- North Millennium Project is 40% Basin owned under an option agreement with CanAlaska for Basin to earn up to 80%. 58 km2 landholding 7km from majority Cameco owned Millennium deposit.
Basin Energy’s Marshall and North Millennium project locations adjacent major uranium deposits. (Claim holder data correct as of Aug 2023.)
Classic drill EM target at Basin’s Marshall project.
MAIN FEATURES
- No known drilling within the project areas however drilling on the adjacent McTavish project intersected elevated pathfinders including Ni, Co, Cu and Zn with uranium anomalism up to 0.12% U3O8.
- Ground electromagnetic surveys completed by Basin Energy identified multiple drill-ready unconformity targets.
- Located within the heartland of major uranium deposits, 7 kms from Cameco’s Millennium deposit (104.8 Mlbs @ 3.76% U3O8) and under 40 km from the prolific McArthur River Mine (674.9 Mlbs @ 16.9% U3O8)
